When Life Makes A Doormat Out of You

Pain, the more people try to talk you out of it the more it hurts. If at one point it seems you have just gotten through the elements of despair there goes another tease and it pulls you back where you once started. The thing is you will never be free until you’ve let yourself go and stop being that ‘doormat’ people keep stepping on. Your voice becomes unheard. You simply say yes. You cry in your bed at night hoping you would just die because the people around you wants you to just $#%*^@! OBEY. ( excuse my language but cursing helps relieve the anger.)

There is a time to be nice;  yes. But there are certain things one has to act consciously not to seem as if you are totally agreeing with one person. It’s a totally different story when one goes crying and immediately saying yes in surrender than one who gets to explain and fight for their side.

True. A guardian’s  or a master’s care wants you to keep of the tracks of danger. They do not want you to get wet in the rain but regardless life never thrown us here to just follow what others have done. Life threw us here so that we might discover how unique we are from one another. Until we understand that we never are going to get out of our shell. Some of us die inside never getting the chance to come out.

You have to eventually get out that protective raincoat if you want to enjoy the rain and get sick as you may be but what the hell! Thing is you got to experience rain.

So, stop being a doormat. Stop being that ‘obedient’ little kid people think you are. You’re an adult now so live up to what you think is best for you and self-discovery. It’s a scary path but once you make that first step out you’ll find your other foot will follow, leading you to place where you are supposed to be.

Mandala Relief

No matter what many sects think. I believe there is great wisdom in the art of making mandalas. It does not give you direct answers to questions you've been asking for so long but it tells you of one thing--- that there is the center. It is were the great eye dwells and somehow in that eye you will see yourself reflected in it.
As the eyes show the soul of a person, so does the center of the mandala show order in the midst of the ever-changing patterns of life.

Taking on the Backseat of Me :)

Maybe because most of my life people kept on placing me as/on pedelstals that right now I find myself relaxing in backseat of the worlds affairs...

Living in a Two Faced World: Character Review and Thoughts

Having an ugly, despicable, grotesque kind countenance speaks more truth than a damned, twisted soul dressed in beauty....

Those words basically sum up the entire aftermath feeling I go through once I've come to the last page of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by R.L.Stevenson. It reminds me so much of epic characters like Gollum/Smeagol, Dr. Frankenstein, Dorian Grey, and  Edgar Allan Poe's characters, etc. who lived double lives to shush up their considerably selfish, twisted souls.

Most people call Hyde and Jekyll's case schizophrenia but I don't think anyone could sum up that experience to a mere biological disease. His shifts in countenance was more dug down deep towards his soul.

Semesteral Wrap Up

Finally the sem has ended. I mean I just submitted grades and hopefully, my students will smile with what they will see. But those are for the students who made efforts to do their tasks. For the record, I'm basically very lenient as a teacher, that is for this batch and for an English 3 course.  So there are no reasons whatsoever to fail in this subject because LOL it's an oral comm. class.

Sad to say, there are really those who are just too lazy to even lift a finger. Obviously their grades have permanently settled at the bottom of the cliff nearing six feet beneath the ground.   Like this guy here:  digging his grave (grade) instead of climbing on top (not to mention sleeping on a good day)...

Stagnation vs. Transience

The longer you remain in one place the harder it is for you to move out.

The fact has been proven by many people, young and old, who have dwelt for so long in one place that it has served them enough to be a comfort zone. Well who says comfort zones are easy to let go? Seldom do people find a place to comfortably lay their heads so why leave when you have found such spot, such haven?

Thing is life is transient. Progress comes with transience. Nothing should stay as is. Everything should develop to achieve a better state in life. So do we who have gone through years of existing within the walls of the schools. Sooner or later we have to find our own separate ways and exercise what we've picked up from the classroom.

Admit it or not, schools are partly comfort zones for the learning mind. They get all the learning, have deadlines to meet, have schedules for each subject and even have food in the cafeteria which by the way need not be produced from our personal efforts. By the time the institution kicks their graduates off to the world, there reality bites. There are no schedules, no ready in hand money to buy all we need, no deadlines to meet and everything relies on our efforts to strive for gain and progress.

If you want money you need work. And work is so not easy to find nowadays. We have choices, decisions and sacrifices to make to enter the real world. That's why comfort zones never last too. Eventually we'll have to let them go or they will spew us out because you're not moving forward.

Attachment Issues 101

Sometimes those fears of becoming hurt being too close with someone remains a mere idea. At one moment in your life you might have wondered why the dread has  disappeared. Like a whisp of wind the feeling has vanished in thin air. Is it because you’ve fallen out of love/liking for that person or is it something else, a feeling of confidence? Eventually you realize the passion is still there, alive and kicking. At that point you begin to realize you’ve already allowed yourself to be hurt and now you’re  merely at the stage of passing or failing it.

Our fears of attachment isn’t so dreadful at all. Feel, fight and survive! :)

To Detach or To Not

There's a point in life where every single soul  wants to become detached from every form of chaos (or that which brings it).  Some even say it's a path to enlightenment. Personally I do agree on this notion on bigger scale but not entirely.

True, being separate from the humdrum of society and the pointless babbling of restless souls makes  a person know himself better. Meditate on his wants, his goals, and the tasks expected of him and also make him more focused untarnished by the problems of other people. It's perfect peace of body and mind if one can attain such detachment however, speaking of reality, there's no such thing as total detachment.  One has to kill himself to accomplish that.

How can I defend this notion? The answer is obvious. We were born in one planet. Made to live in one, grow up in one and die in one. All souls that have come and gone shared one space and there never was the idea that the world had to subdivide itself so that each person could stay in his own piece of land without having to communicate with others.

We were given speech to talk to our own kind so we could work together not to use as means to shy ourselves away from them.

Some may insist that detachment meant is with the soul, not getting affected with the people that surround you. Well i say that would be the biggest lie.  A person may SEEM detached but it's a mask they're wearing. They wear it so much all the time that they can't even recognize the lie they're in. Trying trying not to give a care.

Life is but a fleeting cycle of colors and gray shades. Getting to live through each tint without being indifferent, resolving every sorrow and happiness as part of life makes us human. People who live life less than they ought to have lived or felt have not yet found the meaning of life itself. Just like me still finding the means to break through this cistern that has been holding me since young.

I'll take this as my first note in this blog.
